ECLO is delighted to announce that it has been accepted as a core partner in the above project, partially funded under the Leonardo da Vinci programme.
The VISIBLE Project will focus on the development of Validation IssueS Induct a Basis for Learning Evaluation. It directly addresses the necessity, for the European DAs, to recognise organisational positions and related competences starting from the position of Project Manager (onwards PM) PMs – a position registering an increment in number in the labour market, can have a master on a technical background. Nowadays, the most crucial competences for them are the horizontal ones such as Networking, Resources Management, Communication. They have continuously to improve these competences, and they normally can do this by non-formal learning processes. Mutual recognition, even in case of the position of PM (WP2), is a matter of fact. This point is a serious threat for the European DAs, which are trying to pass from the rhapsodic common projects to models of permanent mutual co-operation. They need indeed to reduce organisational barriers by exploiting the potential of staff exchange and even European job mobility. A common horizon of vocational training, where not only the settings and practices of learning are shared but also the key references and standards, is a crucial precondition for this process to start. Therefore, members of the teams should know what are the positions of their colleagues, what competencies they are expected to act and at what level, what responsibilities they can therefore undertake. The VISIBLE Project aims at contributing to this process developing innovation in the field of the non-formal learning validation (WP3). It will use Case Histories, generated from PMs experience, as a common validation methodology of non-formal learning of horizontal competences. This methodology elaborated inside the consortium, and later exploited towards different potential users (WP6), will concern both process and integrated tools, such as Transparent Pedagogical Framework, VISIBLE Guide, Theatre based Role Playing, V.I.S.I.B.L.E Game. Eight countries belonging to EU and SEE are represented (IT/FR/BE/NO/HU/SK/RO/BG), with a significant number belonging to the CADSES area. DAs different typologies are represented (Regional Development Agencies, Agency for Economical Development, Local Action Group financed by the EU LEADER+ programme, Sectorial Agency), with important differences in terms of size and territories represented, but with the same necessity. Moreover two highly qualified training providers are involved in the consortium (NO/BE). The consortium extension and quality are the ideal preconditions to develop the above effective and innovative methodology and for its further exploitation outside the consortium. Precondition also ensured by an effective Quality and Evaluation Plan (WP4)
